For Free...

On Tuesday night, Ted calls and tells me he has gotten four free Diamond Back tickets from Verizon. Of course, I am sooo excited, because I love baseball, especially major league. Well, since there is only two of us, and four tickets, Ted starts calling around to people we know, offering them two free tickets. After a couple hours of calling, and no takers, he gives up, simply frustrated. In Idaho, we would have takers on our little minor league team tickets without a thought. But, we went to the game, and they lost...again. I don't think the Diamond Backs have won a game so far this season. They played the Braves, so that was cool, seeing a team I have watched on TV. Anyway, we made a night of it, and had a way fun time! We even got pizza and drinks, which you gotta do to get the whole feel of the game. There were 17,502 people in attendance, which is crazy, because the stadium looked over half-empty. It is fun going to downtown Phoenix, because the high-rise buildings are beautiful, especially at night.

Moved by the poem of a 6 year old girl dying of cancer

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever
watched
kids

On a merry-go-round?

Or listened to
the
rain

Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a

butterfly's erratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the
fading
night?

You better slow down.

Don't
dance so
fast.

Time is short.

The music
won't
last.

Do you run through each day

On
the
fly?

When you ask How are you?

Do you hear
the
reply?

When the day is done

Do you lie
in your
bed

With the next hundred chores

Running through
your head?

You'd better
slow down

Don't dance so
fast.

Time is
short.

The music won't
last.

Ever told your
child,

We'll do it
tomorrow?

And in your
haste,

Not see
his

sorrow?

Ever lost
touch,

Let a good
friendship die

Cause you
never had time

To call
and say,'Hi'

You'd
better slow down.

Don't dance
so fast.

Time
is short.

The music won't
last..

When you run
so fast to get somewhere

You
miss half the fun of getting
there.

When you worry and hurry
through your
day,

It is like an unopened
gift....

Thrown
away.

Life is not a
race.

Do take it
slower

Hear the
music

Before the song is
over.

New Job for the Wifey

That's right...Kaylee got a new job. Why I am referring to myself in 3rd person is beyond me...although it might have to do with all the training I went through today. :) Anyway, I am now working at Bradford Endodontics. I know, root canals are completely different than wedding dresses, but I am liking it. I have sooo much to learn. My boss, who is also my bishop, says learning everything in the office is like trying to eat an elephant, you have to take a bite at a time. So true!!! I have tons to learn! Well, just wanted to update my blog about where I am working now. Have a good day!
