Haulin' Hay

We have been really busy putting up our hay these last couple weeks. We are all so exhausted! I think that Adam said he is averaging an hour and a half sleep at night, and my Mom is right there with him. I think it is crazy how they work so hard and still have energy...well have some energy! I have been the person who runs around and ties up all the loose ends. It is fun, and busy work. I just finished up with getting Adam's invitations all mailed out...except for a few I couldn't find addresses for. I am hoping that I got all of them done correctly. Well, today is also my Dad's birthday, so we are hopefully (if we have enough time tonight) going out to dinner. It is a tradition in our family to go out to eat on birthdays...so we want to carry on our tradition with my Dad. We think that even though he isn't here, we can still go out and celebrate it like he was here. It has been a tough day for my Mom, as you can imagine. June is going to be the hardest month out of the year for her, because we have Father's Day and my Dad's birthday. Hopefully time will ease the pain and sadness. Hope all is going well for all of you! We will talk to you all later!

Only a couple more weeks until...

Adam and Morgan's Wedding!!! I am so excited to get a new sister-in-law! Adam and Morgan's wedding is in a couple weeks on July 11th! If you read my blog and do not get an invitation, it is probably because of our great postal service, and YOU ARE INVITED! They are getting married in the Idaho Falls Temple at 12:30, then we will be having a dutch-oven dinner at my mom's house at 4:00pm, then the reception is also at my mom's house from 6:30 to 8:30 pm! If you have any questions on how to get there, give me a call! Anyway, enough of that commercial stuff...I just wanted everyone to know how excited I am to have Adam get married! I am glad that he found a nice girl who is so much like him, it is crazy and good at the same time! Well, here are a few cute pics of them! Love you guys!!!

My Daddy

So, this has been something that I have been thinking about for a while, but it is really hard to just sit down and express. You know, when someone in your life that is really special to you passes away, it changes your perspective on life. When my grandma and grandpa passed away, it was really hard and I was really sad for a long time. But now since my Dad has passed away, it is a bitter-sweet thing. I am not afraid of death anymore, because I know my Dad is on the other side waiting for me. I am really happy to know that he lived a highly respectable life and was honest in all his dealings...that brings a little more peace to my heart...but I still miss him and wish that he could be here in person for my mom (who has aged considerably since he passed away), and also be here to help and support us on our daily business endeavours. It is getting harder and harder to be a farmer now-a-days, and we could use some good wisdom and advice from him. I guess that in his own way he is still here. We feel his sweet, loving presence once in a while, and get wisdom given to us through our thoughts. It is amazing how a thought can just pop into my mind at the right moment and I know that it is from him trying to help me out. I love my Dad so much! You do not realize how amazing and how much you really love and appreciate someone until they are not with you anymore. He taught us so much, even the little things that make the biggest differences in life, like how to load a trailer so it doesn't fish-tail on you, and how to take good care of your vehicles to make them last longer, and most importantly he taught us how to live a Christ-like life, a life of honor and honesty. I have also found out and noticed how much I am like him...growing up I used to always wonder if I would turn out like my parents...and the answer is yes I have...more than I would've ever imagined...so parents do have a BIG influence over their children...which leaves a lot of responsibility up to us as parents to spend time and teach our children right from wrong. I am glad that my parents were so good at teaching me things and spending time with me helping me grow. Well, I really wish that I could express all my love and appreciation to my Dad right now, but my feelings are so much deeper than a few words written down or typed onto a computer. I can't wait to see him again and be able to give him another big hug that I have been wanting to give to him forever! I love him so much and I am glad that I am so much like him...I want my life to reflect his love and devotion as much as possible. Thank you for all you've done for me Dad! I love you and can't wait to be with you again!

Ted's Beautiful Splurge

Okay, so Ted and I like love deals...so shopping at Sam's Club is one of our favorite places to shop. We literally spend more money there than anywhere else...except on propane in the winter. Anyway, we were there yesterday looking at TVs and wishing we could have one. Well, he knows the manager, so he goes and asks her about this TV, and if it is a good price, how many there are, etc. etc. Well, we find out that it is below their cost because it is not the new flat screen TV and so they are trying to get rid of it asap...oh, and they only have one left. So, Ted comes back to me and asks if it is okay if we get it...(I might add that I have the hardest time telling him no because he is so darn cute and he makes all the money, so why deprive him of spending it where he wants?) I said yes, and he was so happy! So, now we have this huge 61" TV in our living room! We watched a movie last night and it feels like you are in the movie the picture is so big! We love it! And, he is thinking we need surround speakers for Christmas...so we will see. Anyway, if anyone wants to come over and watch movies...you are more than welcome! Morgan's Shower

Today was Morgan's shower! It was so much fun! We had quite a few people there, and there were so many gifts! She got awesome new stuff for their home. It always amazes me at how people get so many great presents for showers and weddings! You can like furnish your whole kitchen and bathroom with gifts from them...which is really nice!...Especially when you are newlywed and have like nothing and no money! Thank you all you wonderful and sweet people who helped us out! Well, here are a couple pics of Morgan. My camera died before I could take anymore of other people there. :( It was also Adam's birthday this wednesday, so we have a few pics from his B-day!

IHSRA

On Saturday and Tuesday, me and Morgan judged the State Idaho High School Rodeo Queen contest. We also judged with Adam, Linda (Morgan's mom), Morgan Anselmi, Amanda Kent, Ashley Fuchs, and Vicki King. It was a lot of fun! All the girls were so nice and way outgoing! We also went to the cutting finals on Monday. It made me miss cutting way bad! As soon as the weather warms up, I am going to start riding and getting Missy in shape again. This spring has been like and extension of winter...I am so sick of the cold! Anyway, we are going to be going back down to the finals rodeo on Saturday morning to see which girl wins the queen contest. There were 13 girls that competed, and all of them have a good chance of winning. When we were judging horsemanship on Tuesday, we ran into Scott Christensen. He is such a nice man! He is a trainer, and we have been thinking and trying to figure out who to take Sparkle to for training, and I think that we will probably be taking her to him. He trains both cutting and reining horses, so he will be perfect. A big plus we like about him is, that he is not mean to the horses. He really tries to work with them instead of beating them into doing what he wants them to do. So, I am excited to start getting Sparkle trained. She is a nice little mare and needs work. We just never have time to ride anymore. Well, talk to you all later!

More of Sarah's Wedding

Sarah's Wedding

Sarah's wedding was so cool! So, she had her wedding dinner the night before so that the day wouldn't be so busy (which was smart) and it was a blast! I had never met her husband until the wedding dinner, so the night before she got married, and I was really wondering what he was like, and what his family was like, but they were all so nice and hilarious! His family put on a little program at the dinner and told stories along with singing, etc. Sarah's dad told some really sweet and tear-jerking experiences about Sarah...there is nothing in the world that compares to a daddy's love. Then, we all left and Ted, me and my mom stayed down in Bountiful for the night. I didn't get hardly any sleep, but that's okay. The next morning we went to the temple and it was so busy! There were brides everywhere! The ceremony was wonderful! I am surprised Sarah and Brenton didn't cry...it is hard not to when you get married (I think). Then, the pictures were fun in front of the temple. Sarah wore her pink boots-which were so cute! Ted got some good pictures of her boots! The reception was so beautiful! They had it at Jeremiah's and it was amazing! The food was great, everybody was happy, and it was just wonderful! The only thing that could've helped was the weather. I am telling ya, it was cold! It had rained some before the reception, and then the wind was blowing lightly which was just enough to make you freeze! Oh, the bridesmaid dresses were so comfy and so amazingly gorgeous! The pastel pink was perfectly colored for the night. I loved her cake too! Anyway, I am babbling on...to say the least, I think that it was a great time for everyone! What a happy night! Love ya Sarah! I am gonna miss you in Arizona!

Katelyn's Wedding

Last Thursday we went to Katelyn's wedding and it was so nice and warm and pretty down there. We went to the actual ceremony and then my mom, Adam and Morgan went to the luncheon. She was smart to only have a luncheon...I think it is a lot more kick back and not so stressful. Anyway, it was fun to see the family and have a relaxing day! Here are some pics from it! Enjoy!

Wedding Week!

This week is truly a wedding week! I have a niece getting married on Thursday in the Ogden Temple and then my friend Sarah is getting married on Friday in the Bountiful Temple. So, on Thursday, we are going to be at the wedding ceremony and then we will be splitting up and my mom (maybe Adam and Morgan too) will be going to Katelyn's Wedding Dinner. Ted and I are going to be heading out to Sandy for Sarah's Wedding dinner (she is having her dinner the night before). Then, we will be staying overnight down there with my mom and going to Sarah's wedding ceremony that next morning. I think my mom will be heading home after that, but Ted and I will be staying for the reception because I am one of her bridesmaids (besides the fact that I wouldn't ever think of missing Sarah's wedding anyway)! Well, I am really excited! This week is going to be crazy! After Sarah's reception, we are going to be coming home and I have to judge a state queen contest the next day (Saturday) and Monday with Morgan and Adam. So, it will be wild, but a lot of fun! Well, I will post pictures of Sarah's wedding and Katelyn's wedding and I will let you know how it all goes! Wish me luck!
