Update

Okay, so we are still planning on going private! I am just extremely busy right now, so I haven't had time to actually do it yet. Please be patient with me, I am still trying to figure out how exactly to make my blog private. If any of you have already changed to private, I would love some advice on how to actually switch over. Thank you for your emails! I will hopefully be getting this tedious project worked out soon! Love ya!

Us Too!

We, well, I have decided that our blog is going private. The reason for this is, because the other day, my sister in law was trying to remember our blog address, and so she googled my name. Well, I had my blog so that it cannot be googled, but other blogs that can be googled, have our name on their blogs, thus people can still google our names and find our blog. This worries me a little with the whole way things are going in the world, and all the creapy people out there. So, please just leave your email if you want to keep seeing our blog, or you can email us your email address. Email to: tedgarling@gmail.com. Thank you!

Stunning

We had this amazing sunset last week, and I had to take some pictures. In all my life, I have never seen one with so many different shapes and colors. It was very majestic.

Hawaiian Ward Christmas Party

The ward party was Hawaiian Themed, Brian dressed up as a Hawaiian dancer.

Tami told the kids a story about the Christ child. It was so good!
Santa came to see the kids!

This is one of our members of our ward that dressed up as an elf. He was so cute!

Glenn Beck

Glenn Beck came to our malls in Pocatello and Idaho Falls to sign some books for people. So, Ted got him to sign some stuff for him, including The Christmas Sweater. It was awesome how so many people came to see him. Enjoy the pictures!

How Much???

So, I got this $50 gift certificate to Porter's Crafts, for my birthday, from my mother-in-law. I have been saving it for this time of year, because I really wanted to get some more Christmas decorations. Well, I thought that $50 was a lot of money, and so I decided to go and spend it today. It took me a while to decide on which room I was needing more Christmas Decor in, and then it took me even longer to decide what to do, because there are so many amazing decorations in Porter's. Well, I decided on this amazingly extravagant display that I thought would work well with the colors in the room, and that would make the room look festive. So, I bought pretty much the identical things included in the display. I thought I was doing good, and that I would only spend about $50 above the gift certificate. So, I called it good and headed to the front of the store to be checked out. Well, as I stared setting everything out, I realized I had gotten a lot more than I had noticed before. The sales clerk was scanning all the items into the computer, and I saw the amount go over $100, then $150, then almost to $200. I was shocked, in fact, my mouth literally dropped! There was a huge line behind me by this time, because it took sooo long for her to scan everything and wrap all the glass items in bubble wrap, so I felt like I needed to hurry and just pay for the items and get out of their way. So, I gave her the gift card, which took the total down to like $150, and then she smiled and held out her hand for more money. Reluctantly, I gave her my credit card. Wow! Buyer's guilt swept over me. Look at all that money going to some stupid little decoration that will probably get broken! I could buy so many other Christmas presents with that money, or even food storage! Well, I went ahead and got the stupid stuff anyway. As soon as I got home, I rushed it all into the house, and put it up. I wanted to see how good it looked, so I could convince myself it was worth keeping. Well, I think it looks amazing, and I figured I could use the glass things for other seasonal decorations as well. So, here is my lovely, over priced, collection of new Christmas Decor from Porter's that I should have left in the store. Hope Ted doesn't kill me when he gets home and finds out how much I spent on it! Wish me luck!

All We Need Is Some Snow

Here is the only half-way decent view of our living room decorations I could get in a picture. I love how Christmas Decorations make you want to curly up on the sofa with a cup of hot chocolate, a blanket, and a good book.

This cute little snowman decoration I got last year from a Relief Society Super Saturday Workshop. They are the greatest!

I love this garland. It really ties in our fireplace with the Christmas Spirit.

Here is our cute little Christmas Tree. We bought this tree right after we were married two years ago. It was the cheapest one we could find (Target Special). Don't get me wrong, it is very well-made (if you can call a tree "well-made"), but we thought we would upgrade a few years down the road. Since our family still only consists of two people, and neither one of us really care how nice our tree is, we are sticking with this one. And yes, I have gotten most of my Christmas shopping done, and the presents are all wrapped under the tree.

I successfully put up our Christmas Decorations! Yeah! I took a few pictures of the Living Room with the tree and thought I would share. Enjoy!

Sunsets Captured

I love fence posts!

The sun was reflecting nicely off the red fence, so I had to get a picture with it and one of the big buttes out by our house.

This picture was taken a couple days ago. I really liked the colors that are in this picture.

This is another sunset shot that was taken a couple days ago. I love the sun shining through the tree.

This was one of the pictures I took in the car as we were driving. It actually turned out pretty good, considering. The camera, of course, didn't capture the amazing color as well as I wished it would have, but it still looks good.

This picture is of the grainery with the sunset in the background. It was also taken in the car, hence it is blurry.

We have been having some amazing sunsets with the clouds these last few days. A couple of these, I took in the car as we were driving, so they may be a little blurry, but you will still get the idea of the colors, etc. I just love how we are so lucky to be able to see and admire the beauty of the sunsets!

Master's Project

Please check out Ted's master's project site. It is on our link list on the sidebar under: Our Other Blog. If you can't find it, here is the link. Also, please keep checking it, as we will be updating it daily. We need people to check out the site so that it can be counted as a good master's project so Ted can graduate. As you can tell, we are a little desperate! Thank you sooo much!

Turkey & Family

This is one of the sunsets we got this week. We are so blessed to be able to have such amazing views out here on the desert.

Patches and Tippy waiting for me to put them away for the night, so they can have their yummy Dog Chow, Thanksgiving Dinner.

Thanksgiving for our family this year was nice, because we got two dinners instead of one. On Thursday, Ted, my mom, and I went to Utah to see my Grandma Hancock, and spend Thanksgiving with her. On my mom's side of the family, none of the kids really get together anymore for Thanksgiving since we have all went our separate directions...so it was nice just to have a small dinner with my grandma. She is my last grandparent still living, and she is not doing very well, because she had a stroke a couple years back which has left her paralyzed on her left side. Anyway, it was really good seeing her and listening to her childhood stories. She also talked a lot about my grandpa, which was fun! Then, we had our second dinner last night (Sunday), with Adam, Morgan, Ted, my mom, and myself. It was fun, because we all got to sit down and spend some relaxing time together. It is always good to catch up on each other's lives. Well, I hope everyone had a fun Thanksgiving, and now since it is December, I am going to be putting up our Christmas Decorations!!! Yeah!
