Funnel Cloud over Blackfoot

Here is a funnel cloud that came over Blackfoot today. Funny, or not so funny thing... we had a tornado come through where we live a couple months before we moved up to Idaho, and it ripped off our shop's roof, and the high school's roof. So, this sight was not a very welcomed one...

Who Loves the Spring??? I do, I do, I do! The warm weather has finally returned! At least for a couple days anyway... Since it has been so warm, we have been able to get out into our fields and do some farm work. Ted, me, our friends Rich, Kiera, Jessie, Jeffery, and Jon (Ted's little brother) have all been doing some hard work these last couple weeks. Our job has been to do all the rock picking on the farm. We each have put in over 60 hours of rock picking within the last couple weeks. We finished the fields yesterday (we picked 545 acres in 7 days), and now we are picking rock off our linear road so the rock doesn't split the huge water hoses, like it has the last couple years. I will be so happy when all the rock picking is done. Today, Ted and I got to go out and check all the tire pressures for the pivots. Since we drove a pickup out into the field, I got a few pictures. Back to School

Hello! I am sooo excited, and I never thought I would say that about anything concerning school. But, I am going back to BYU-Idaho as an online student. I am going to be one of a hundred of their first online students. I start the classes on April 20th for the Spring Semester, so it is really soon. Yeah! Wish me luck! Oh, and hopefully my internet will continue to work while I have my classes. For some reason, the internet out where I live always goes down when I absolutely need it for something. Maybe that is because we live clear out in the middle of nowhere...Oh well, I am just impressed we even get the internet. Love you all!

Morgan, Riley, and Adam graduated from BYU-Idaho today! Yeah! It was a great ceremony, and we even got to eat at our favorite restaurant in Idaho, Stockman's. Riley is Morgan (Adam's wife's) sister, and Morgan is married to Riley. So, there are two Morgan's in Morgan's family. Funny huh? Anyway, it has been a great day! Congrats Adam! We love you!

Dodge National Finals

We just got back from the best rodeo in Idaho, the DNCFR! It was so much fun! Seriously, all the riders were amazing, and the entertainment was great! The clowns really had some fun jokes, and it made the rodeo go by even faster. If you are in need of something to do this weekend, head to Pocatello, Idaho for the National Circuit Finals. It is worth the trip!

The End Is Near...

Jr Miss is almost over! This is the last week, and I am so excited for Saturday (the night of the competition)! Last night we had "lights on", and it went awesome! Here are the cute girls I have gotten to work with these last couple months. Aren't they so cute?

The Twin Falls Temple. As we were driving in front of the temple, I stuck my hand out the window to get a picture, and this is what came out. I love how the sun is shining down on the temple. Breathtaking!

Okay, so we saw this building and had to take a picture. It says Theodore on the side of it, and it is the Theodore building. Ted was so proud!

This is where we ate in Sun Valley. We literally found the sketchiest place and decided to eat there! No, just kidding. This is a Peruvian Restaurant in Sun Valley, and Ted loves that kind of food, so he took me there. It was very delicious. I couldn't stop eating.

Both Ted and my family have many family traditions. Some of them consist of, cutting wood, family reunions, family scripture reading, gardening, and riding horses together. One of my family's traditions has lacked the last few years, due to work or other obligations, but Ted and I have decided to resurrect it and make it a tradition again. The tradition we are bringing back to life is, General Conference Sunday Drives. So, what we do is, go on a long drive to somewhere we have been wanting to visit for a long time. Since this is our first time restarting this tradition, we decided to go somewhere not too far away, but far enough that it would take all day.

As you can see from the pictures, we decided to take a trip through Arco, Hailey, Ketchum, and up to Sun Valley. Neither one of us have been there (at least not that we can remember), so we thought it would be a fun trip. And it was!

After we visited and ate at Sun Valley, we decided to go back down through Shoshone and Twin Falls before heading back home. We stopped at the new temple in Twin Falls, and admired it's beauty.

Then, we visited Shoshone Falls. Did you know that Shoshone Falls is actually 50 feet higher than Niagara Falls? It is considered the Niagara Falls of the West, and it is located right there in good old Twin Falls, Idaho. What an amazing thing! Anyway, we loved Shoshone Falls and got some amazing pictures. Who would have known that Idaho could be so beautiful?

When we were on our drive up to Sun Valley, we went through the most splendid little valley right before it. There were tons of ranches with huge houses, indoor arenas, and barns. It was like I had died and gone to heaven. I saw my life-long dreams right in front of me. I could only gawk as we drove by though, because dreams sometimes need to change when they are too lavish for real-life. But, it was fun to dream while it lasted.

Anyway, the day was very nice. It was sunny and warm (a first in a long time), and the 8 hour drive felt like only a couple hours because of the good company. Every time I get to spend time with Ted I fall in love with him all over again. Maybe we should spend some more time together...It was fun, Ted kept making jokes which made the ride interesting during the time conference wasn't on.

I think that every time conference comes around, I appreciate modern conveniences (like car radios and MP3 players) and living in an LDS dominant area more. It is so nice to be able to hear the words of the prophets right in our own cars, homes, or even if we are out doing different things. We live in an amazing and blessed time. Writing Away

Since I have let the cat out of the bag, I really need to give more details. I am writing a book, and it is quite the process. As for what it is about, well, it is a mixture of a bunch of different things. It is a young-adult book, targeting young women. Yes, it is Christian-based, and it takes a girl on a journey through her life.
I am taking a girl in college through the steps of love, choices, and conversion into the church in my first book. Then, as she makes her decisions, I am going to show her consequences. She has a friend that doesn't make the best choices and I am going to compare their lives, showing the difference.
Then, I would like to write a follow-up book that shows the importance of her decisions, and then how even though she makes good choices, bad things still happen. I am trying to make her strong, so she can overcome her problems she faces. Most of her issues do not come from her family or friends, but from the world, and the situations that are going on.
The books are meant to be inspirational. I hope they give strength, teach lessons, and help out girls going through trials and hard times in life in story form. I also hope that it shows, when you make good decisions, you have peace, no matter what goes wrong on the outside world.
I wish I could just post the book online for you all to read and give opinions, but that would take a lot of time and work that I am putting into my writing. So, after I have finished writing, and get the book edited, I will let you know.
I still don't even have a title, and I am making a lot of changes to the story, plot, etc. It is a work in progress. If any of you have any experiences in your life that have helped or hindered you, I would love to add them into my book. Please don't be shy. I am always looking for new experiences. Thank you!
