Today was the last day of our trip...sadly. It went by so fast, yet it was the BEST thing for us! Very relaxing! So, as we woke up this morning, we took a beautiful hike above Chico Hot Springs Resort and looked out across the valley. It was still nice and cool at 7am this morning, so the sun felt good as it warmed the valley below us. There was a pristine trout pond on our hike that we found, and a few people from Portland were already out fishing it. Then, we went and soaked in the Hot Spring Water of Chico for one last time, enjoying the refreshing feeling of warmth and minerals soothing our muscles. After we soaked in the water, went back to the hotel room and packed up, then got ready for the day, we got some breakfast at the resort. It was delicious, just like the rest of the food there. But, on the way out, we got our favorite, Italian Sodas, for the road. They are the BEST Italian Sodas I have tasted...and I could rave for hours on end about how delicious the food at Chico was, but I won't. So, on the way home, we went back through Yellowstone National Park, and I say it like it is common place, but people travel for thousands of miles every year to see the wonders of this park, and it really is amazing! If you haven't been, you are missing out. Ted and I were wondering how many days, months, or even years it would take to hike all the majestic hikes they have available in the park. Past Yellowstone, we decided to take the scenic route past Island Park to Mesa Falls. Ted has never been to Mesa Falls, and it has been a couple years since I have been there, so it was a welcomed change. Mesa Falls is 114 feet high, so the falls are quite loud, and they are beautiful. It looks like my picture of them got deleted or not added, but they are quite the sight. You can kind of see them behind Ted and me as we are standing in front of them. Then, we came home...to a clean house, happy animals, and work, work, work!!! Don't you love it?
