General Conference

It is my favorite time of year when conference rolls around. We get to all be edified by the prophets of the church, which is pretty amazing! I like to think of it as, the Lord is talking to us through these wonderful leaders of our church, and we better listen. I thought that this conference was especially inspiring, because they all had words of hope, faith, missionary work, eternal marriage, words of and about Christ, and so many more thoughts that really hit home. I think another huge benefit of having conference is getting to be with my husband all day! Yeah! And, let me tell ya, it was really worth it having him around...all during conference (4hours) he rubbed my feet, back, head, and really pampered me all day. I loved it! He always takes care of me in sweet little acts of service like this, and it was so nice having it practically all day.
Back in our single days, when conference would come around, both of us would always try to get into a session and go to Salt Lake. But, we feel like it is also very nice just kicking it at home and watching conference on television...maybe that is because we are an old married couple now, and just enjoy some quiet time.
Later last night, we had Morgan, Adam, and my mom come over to our house and watch Alvin and the Chipmunks with us. It was fun! We all crammed onto one couch and a chair. It wasn't too bad though, because Adam and Morgan are still newlyweds, so they cuddle really closely still. Anyway, conference is a privilege to have each October and April. We love hearing new counsel and seeing all the strong men and women who lead the church. Hope everyone enjoyed their days too!
